So this recipe could just as easily be called Pear Apple Sauce, but I thought Apple Pear Sauce rolled off the tongue better. It’s fall and apples and pears abound. This was a spur of the moment snack for Arabella, and so much cheaper and healthier than store bought.
Start with an apple, cut the peel off and chop into small pieces.
Do the same with a pear.
Place in a food processor or blender. I used my smoothie blender. You can add a pinch of cinnamon too, but it was good without it.
Blend until most the of the chunkiness is gone.
Pour into a bowl and serve immediately. It will keep a couple of days in the refrigerator, but it probably won’t last that long. It made 2-3 servings.
Both the kiddos loved it, and it was so easy to make! Definitely will be making it again.
