It’s been raining for days and days. We had big ideas of going apple picking or to a pumpkin patch on John’s day off, but our dreams were a little dashed. So what can you do on a cold, rainy day off from work? Go to Ikea and have Chick-fil-A for lunch!
We started out by swinging by Starbucks. There was some fun going on in the back seat while John ran in and got the coffee.
Hanging out in the parking lot of Ikea. Don’t worry – it’s milk in her cup.
Who doesn’t love all the cool chairs?
A girl can’t go wrong with a mirror like this.
Camden’s checking out some organizational boxes.
It’s hard to leave Ikea without a stuffed toy from the kid’s area. Arabella already has the carrot who she affectionately calls “Mr. Carrot,” so we had to Camden the Broccoli.
The downside to being a brother to a big sister is you end up playing with a lot of pink stuff.
Camden’s first meal at Chick-fil-A was a hit.
Cam liked it so much he wanted to share with Daddy.
Arabella is the only kid we know who doesn’t like Chik-fil-A chicken. She will eat a waffle fry or two, but she’s really there for the playground.
It was really hard to get her to leave. I won’t lie and say that there weren’t tears shed.
Our Target didn’t have my size in the oxfords I wanted, so we stopped at a different one on the way home. I also found these cute boots for Cam on sale for $15 -a lot less than the other day when we were there. Yay!
The kids fell asleep in the car, so we decided to keep driving…to pick up my new computer from the Apple store!
These cuties woke up enough to take over the kid’s area.
Camden was going back and forth between two iPads. He was working the home button like nobody’s business.
What a great end to our outing!
