This is a project that I have been wanting to do for a while now. I had been saving coffee canisters for several months. Some I have stored things in and put away. Then John asked if I wanted this chip container for anything. I decided now was the time.
I found this craft paper at Home Goods for about $4.00. I broke out my trusty scissors and measuring tape and began cutting my pieces. Arabella helped me put stick glue on the paper and press it onto the canisters. I mostly did the pressing because I wanted to make sure there were as few wrinkles as possible.
I think they turned out pretty well. You could use wrapping paper or even printed contact paper. My mom used contact paper on everything when we were kids. She used it to “laminate” things she would make for us. She is a very creative person!
I’m going to use them to store art supplies on my side table near the dining table where we do all our crafts.
I love that they are functional and nice to look at too!
Hope this inspires you to do something good for our planet!
