I’ve been craving tuna salad now that the weather has warmed up a little. My friend Faith once called this the best tuna salad she ever ate. It’s really creamy and packed with crunch at the same time. A little sweet and a little salty.
Start with solid white albacore tuna. It has a lighter, less fishy taste.
Dice up some apple and celery and add to the bowl.
Add some mayonnaise.
This is my favorite seasoning combo for salads like this – Beau Monde and Celery Salt.
Stir and spread.
So good for your next picnic or for brown bagging it. I would have added lettuce, but I was out.
- 1 can solid white albacore tuna
- 3 Tbsp apple, diced
- 2 Tbsp celery, diced
- 2-3 Tbsp mayonaise
- dash of Beau Monde seasoning
- dash of Celery Salt
- lettuce, optional
- Mix tuna, apples, celery, mayo and seasonings.
- Spread on bread and add lettuce.
Hope this makes it into your lunch soon!
