Mother’s Day is coming up, so I put together some of my favorite recipes that will make a great addition to your Mother’s Day festivities. My mom is about 12 hours away, so I will be sending my love through the mail and telephone. But when I lived in Florida, my sister and I would put together a fancy brunch for our mom on Mother’s Day. Here’s some great recipes to get you going if you need a little help.
Start the day off right with this Green Smoothie made with mango, banana, coconut milk and kale.
If you need more of a kick, try my mom’s and my favorite Homemade Iced Mocha. You could also throw it in a blender with the ice for a blended coffee drink.
Cranberry Orange Makeshift Scones are one of our family’s favorites and really quick and easy.
This Creamy Tuna Spread is another favorite of my mom. There is usual an endless supply of this when I go to my parent’s house, and it’s usually eaten out by the pool.
Deviled Eggs are one of my favorite things to make as an appetizer for a gathering with friends at our house. Dill is what really makes them special.
Ham and Gouda Brunch Casserole is light and fluffy and filling at the same time.
Cranberry Fluff is my husband’s favorite side dish that his mom always made. It has become a favorite in our home now, and it always reminds me of her. It’s only our second Mother’s Day without my mother-in-law, and though we miss her, we know she is in heaven celebrating. Everyone who has tried this loves it, whether they like cranberries or not.
I am thanking God for giving me a wonderful mom who has always supported me through the years and still encourages me today in all my mommy and blogging endeavors! I was also blessed to have an incredible mother-in-law who prayed for me even before she knew me. Celebrating my blessings!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there!
