We are starting to get back to normal in our house again after recovering from our vacation. I started a new theme with the kids this week that they are super excited about – pirates! With summer weather coming in, I’ve been on a salad kick almost every day for lunch or dinner or both.

As I mentioned before, we started a pirate theme this week. Both kids love the new Tinkerbell movie, The Pirate Fairy, Peter Pan and Jake the Pirate. I printed all this from Over the Big Moon. In the back there is a Jake the Pirate writing practice sheet I got from Preschool Printables.
Camden says “pi-ate” when he sees them in a movie. It’s so cute. Here he is working with John on a color matching sheet.
We’ve been working on teaching Camden his colors. His favorite color is orange. He will dig through all the plates to find the orange one as he’s saying “orange.” He did a great job coloring each pirate ship with the correct color with a little instruction from me, of course. Arabella was very impressed with his work when she saw it later.
We did some pirate size sorting. Arabella was showing Camden how to lay them out from smallest to largest.
This is some shadow matching. They had color pictures and had to lay the matching shadow picture on top.
I was so surprised that Camden did this so well. He’s getting to be such a big boy…except for the pacifier thing! We just hit the two year old molars, so he’s not giving the “paci” up yet, unfortunately.
I also started a project for our living room that I’ll be sharing soon. Here’s a sneak peek.
Have a great week!
