Weekly Recap – August 11, 2014

I didn’t get a lot of pictures of us doing stuff this week, but we still did a lot of bug stuff and learning.  I made this Hermie lap book from 1+1+1=1.  They both had fun looking at it.

Arabella likes to quiz Camden on his colors and was trying to teach him numbers.  She is such a great little teacher.  We also finished reading The Wind in the Willows.  It was really good, and we had a lot to talk about when it ended.  A lot about character, putting others first, and really caring about people (or animals as was the case in the book).

Arabella wants to use my camera to take pictures, so every now and then I will let her take one or two.  This one of her legos turned out ok except her toe is at the bottom. :)

It was Camden’s two year old birthday on Tuesday, so Arabella and I made cupcakes!

I made these Creamsicle Cupcakes last year at Camden’s Country Fair themed party, and they were so good I made them again.  His favorite color is orange too.  He will dig out the orange plate or bowl in the stack while saying “orange.”

This year, we opted for a homemade pizza party at home with just our family.  Camden’s favorite part is the crust.  Can you tell he’s excited about cupcakes?

He loved blowing out the candles.

If your wondering why everything has an orange tint, John put our adjustable light on orange in honor of Camden’s birthday.  I guess it was a theme party after all with the color orange.

He is really enjoying himself.

Arabella had a hard time waiting all afternoon to eat these.

There was plate licking…

Arabella noticed these vines growing together looked like a heart.  We took a picture from inside the house.  What a good eye!
