I’m finally back to blogging again! This is a project that’s been done, but was never photographed. I’m re-learning how to take pictures in my new house with new lighting. Not all times of day are good for pictures.
My mom and dad gave me this dresser from their house. It was in my bedroom when I was a little girl, and it was a bright spring green with a 70′s antique finish. My dad actually stripped all the paint off, replaced the top and drawers and put new hardware on it.
I decided to give it a splash of it’s former green glory by just painting the drawers a very light mint green. It was a sample color I got free from Lowe’s with a coupon. I used a small roller to paint them for a smooth finish.
I like that you can see a hint of the wood grain on the drawers.
I debated on replacing the hardware, but decided to just brushed them with a creamy white paint with primer. After they were dry, I sanded them a little to give them an antique look.
I’m very pleased with the way it turned out with minimal effort and budget!
Don’t stop DIY-ing!
