Easter has really taken me by surprise this year. We have been so busy this spring that I just forgot it was coming up so soon. In lieu of this, I am sharing some tried and true side dish recipes that I have made at so many different holidays meals. Whether you are having ham (my favorite) or roasted chicken or pork tenderloin, these fabulous sides will complete your meal and have everyone asking for the recipe.
Peach Basil Goat Cheese Quinoa Salad would make a great accompaniment to roasted pork or chicken. It’s a little sweet, a little creamy and very fresh – the essence of spring itself.
Ham and asparagus is a classic combination for Easter dinner. This is seriously the best asparagus you’ll ever make. It’s also great on the grill!
This Festive Potato Salad is fresh and light as well as creamy and oh so tasty! It was one of my first recipes on the blog, so I had to redo it after my photography skills improved. You can read all about how I improved my food picture taking skills in the post.
A favorite of my childhood, is this Jello Salad recipe. It pairs really well with ham, but is good with anything. My family has always eaten it as a side dish – not as a dessert. It is called a salad, so I think it is well justified. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did!
Cranberry Fluff is a childhood favorite of my husband. His mom always made it for any special occasion, and now it has become one of our family traditions as well. If you have non-cranberry sauce eaters in your family, this is the perfect recipe!
My favorite thing about Easter is coloring eggs and then making Deviled Eggs with them. These really are the best you’ll ever eat!
Here’s to celebrating Easter with your friends and family!
